According to Adam Zagoria, Ajayi told him he is down to Oklahoma State, Wake Forest, and Tennessee.

I am so confused by this kids recruitment. I would take Ajayi over Katenda every time since he fills a bigger need than Katenda. Hopefully we get him.
 
This has to go down as one of the weirdest recruitments ever
 
Signing Day is tomorrow (right?). If we get this kid, wow, didn't see that coming. If we don't, well, we said good bye to him a long time ago.
 
Lekan can rebound and offer us post defense which we sorely lacked. I hope it works out.
 
doesn't Oklahoma St and Tenn both have or will have new coaches?
 
I, for one, am only .2% hopeful. Kid keeps listing us, but I'm not sure he's the one making the decision...

Travis Ford probably has one more year at Oklahoma State. The expectations for him there have been "get us back to the Sweet 16" for a while, but he has yet to make the tournament. Based on who they have next year, it's probably not going to happen. I'd be surprised if he's still there in 2012.
 
I am by no means expecting this to happen but boy would it be great if it did. I remember hearing that he really liked wake but there was something preventing him from listing us or something like that. I don't know what the deal is nor do I think anyone does. WE WANT LEKAN.
 
i can't imagine that this happens but i really don't understand his recruitment...:werd:

i hope it works out that he chooses Wake, it's a perfect fit!

He has made the tournament 2 out of 3 years.

Lekan would be a fantastic and very exciting get. It would put me dangerously close to drinking the [Redacted] kool-aid.

Yes, I remember that. What a wonderful 48 hours those were.
 
Also funny that like a week ago Seton Hall was his favorite and they didn't make the top 3 while he has tried to drop us multiple times.

1/08/11
Ajayi says that "Wake Forest is not on my list" but his coach says he has narrowed his list to "Seton Hall, Tennessee, Wake Forest, Oklahoma, Florida and Loyola Marymount".

1/10/11
Ajayi says Seton Hall is his favorite and reiterates that Wake Forest is out of it. He says he will cut his list to two soon.

2/04/11
Lekan sets visits to LMU, Florida, Tennessee, Seton Hall and either Arizona or Miami. Seton Hall is still the favorite because his brother lives 10 minutes from campus.

3/02/11
Lekan's list is now Seton Hall, Tennessee, FSU, Miami and LMU.

3/11/11
After back to back visits to Seton Hall and Tennessee, Ajayi says he will take two more visits to LMU and Miami and then make a decision by April 1st.

3/20/11
After the LMU visit Ajayi's father says Wake is in the picture. FSU also reentered after being out of it.

4/12/11
Ajayi says its down to Wake, Tennessee and OK State. OK State is listed for the first time and Seton Hall goes poof.
