Depends on the contract. Some clauses are written into contracts to reduce/increase pay based on relegation/promotion. Other contracts have relegation release clauses that are activated if the players' club goes down.

Stones had an awful game. Worst player for Everton today. At fault for both goals.

That said, I'm not terribly disappointed with the match. We played very well in the second half. Cleverley was great. Kone had his best appearance ever in the shirt. Thought Galloway was composed, confident, well positioned, very disciplined for a young player.

Oviedo was a waste of a sub, and Naismith came on too late to matter. At half, it looked bleak, like Martinez learned absolutely nothing from last season. Adjustments at half were huge. Less punting the ball first touch from Barry, more creativity. Kone may actually deserve to play alongside Lukaku. The goal from their partnership was terrific, and he linked beautifully for the Barkley goal as well.

Really hope the Barkley goal sparks him on to a big season. He was somewhat invisible until late. Need him confident and playing a big role.

Lame goal, and Ivanovic is still a d-bag and getting owned.

I thought Ross played much better once he was moved deeper.
