Louisville Basketball - potential scandal

Yeah, Bobby Knight got recruits purely with his charming personality and those candy striped pajama warmup pants

I know for a fact that in 1979, Bob Knight paid Palma's mom $15 to give Isaiah Thomas a handjibber on his official visit.

It was kind of a team effort by the family.

"At the parties, a number of women—including Powell and three of her daughters—stripped and danced in front of the Louisville recruits and players—as well as performed sex acts with them, said Powell."

“I felt like I was part of the recruitment team. A lot of them players went to Louisville because of me,” Powell said in the book.

Reportedly some of the recruit' dads were also getting in on the action too...

It is just a matter of degree. You have agreed that money has "corrupted" collegiate athletics...but not that it has "ruined" collegiate athletics. So we are down to how far is it from "corrupted" to "ruined"? I guess that is a personal decision. For me, money has ruined collegiate sports.

I suppose that some people have a higher tolerance for corruption than I have.

Peace out, bobknightfan. Just breath deep, give yourself a chance, and you'll remember that everyone who disagrees with you is not necessarily somehow less pure or righteous than you. Just because you disagree with them doesn't have to mean that you are somehow less pure or righteous than them. You're alright, bobknightfan.

I think I was about 11 when I figured out the role of the Deacon Angels. They were always so much hotter than the cheerleaders.
Yeah but half or more of our deacon darlings just enjoyed and excuse to dress up and flirt a little . So to speak

During a bachelor party a couple years ago that ended up at a local strip club, I asked a stripper if any of the local athletes ever visited...she said some of the younger Hurricanes frequented the place, but mostly it was the NCSU and Duke players. The way she described it, the players would show up themselves, and then a different group of suits would show up and sit separate from the players, but would pay for everything. Perks of the job, I guess. As I left that night, CJ Leslie was on his way in with a crew of people.

UNC's players must be too busy studying.

There was an older dude who used to be that guy for Wake athletes when I was in school.

Schools have had pretty girls to "escort" recruits for decades. Usually Frosh that want to be "in." heavy hot nights but hiring hookers and strippers takes it to Petrino or Danny Ford levels. I always felt amateur college talent beat older paid help everyday.

Says the guy with a screen name of bobknightfan. just because someone doesn't get caught doesn't mean they aren't corrupt
