Germany is going to need to win a lot of games 3-1 or 4-2. Their defense is an absolute disaster, they simply have no good fullbacks at all. Hector and Hoewedes as your outside backs in the Euros is absurd.

That's a fucking fantastic finish on replay - he wasn't able to volley it and had to take it off the bounce and still stay on top of it.

In Russia's case, that might not be entirely true. The Russian Football Federation (in addition to Putin's governmental organs) at best turn a blind eye to them, and at worst are directly involved with them.

Russian hooligans are a lot more like a crude paramilitary than they are "fans". And if the RFF and security forces don't want to distance themselves from them for whatever reason, then by all means send the whole damn dirty mess home.

Russia's hard right hand turn into an isolated autocratic, effectively fascist state the last decade is definitely not going to make it fun.

Sucks too, because Russia is truly wonderful in many ways and could be a great place if it was run even halfway competently.
