2016 College football thread

Almost every team on our schedule has had a better opening game than we did.

I skipped out on going to a Luke Bryan concert full of drunk desperate chunky chicks just so I could get to bed tonight and be fully rested for tomorrow. So ready to set up that first true parlay of the season.

I love sports but you are doing it wrong.

Dwarfs choose drunk desperate chunky chicks over football everytime. Amirite doofus?

K-State with a perfect onside kick after giving up a safety with just over 4 minutes left. For some reason, Stanford wasn't expecting a team down 13 to go for an onside kick.

9 v. 7

But with the 7 I get to enjoy a Football Saturday in peace?

I think y'all know where my allegiances lye

I'm loving this football game. Or maybe just the fact that it gives me a reason to morning drink.

Boston College has moved the ball really well, but haven't turned anything into points yet. I've seen them run shotgun spread, I formation with straight hand offs and playfakes, traditional shotgun, etc. Nice to see a scheme that tries to be varied and actually lets the QB play under center and shotgun. BC actually just scored a TD to tie it as I'm typing. They look so much better than us on offense, just a season after being so bad on offense last year. Makes you wonder why BC can show marked improvement and we at least after one game can actually look worse.

I watched a little of Syracuse vs. Colgate last night to get a look at our future competition, and saw Moe Neal (Gastonia) score on a long run making a number of good moves. Wish we could've pried him away from them.

Has anyone watched any team play so far that Wake can beat (besides Tulane of course)? Anyone?

Mississippi Valley State didn't look that good. I think we could take 'em.

BC just ran a read option followed by an I formation handoff between the tackles, if our coaches are watching this they must be amazed that you can run more than one type of running play.

Remember the Harbaugh complaining a few years ago about west coast teams getting screwed with noon kickoffs when they come east?

(I believe our return game at Stanford the next year was the last game of the day to kick off / finish).

Michigan opens at home today at noon. Against Hawaii. Who played last weekend in Australia.

UConn's offense looked pretty horrendous against Maine. Might be a field goal competition against Wake.
