NBA Off-season thread: Duncan and Garnett retire

Bucks trying to get Westbrook, but Westbrook won't sign long term. The plan was to move Giannis, er, back to the 3.

That speaks volumes about you....man I'm sorry to see you delusions....given your inability to see reality, make sure you get a prenup and find someone to watch your money...gullible...

Giannis at Point Guard is going to be like Anthony Tucker at shooting guard (the year Childress had the knee injury).

It will work...sort of.

Oh, and a healthy Childress that year and we were going to be gooooood.

Why would the bucks want Westbrook, doesn't that mess with their 5 year long-term plan?

they probably want to play Westbrook at SF or something

i dunno, let ph explain

If you can get Westbrook, you get Westbrook. Simple answer.

Ehh, granted I can't/didn't watch any bucks games but followed box scores, highlights, etc., but what makes you say that? Giannis is a PG in a 7' body. The kid is incredibly athletic with great ball handling skills and sees the court really well already. If he can improve his 3 point game, he'll be tough to stop. He is also probably under the best coach to tutor him as a PG.

NBA Off-season thread: Teague, Ish, Dwight, Pau, KD and DWade change teams

Surely something more shrewd is at play though, right?

Nope. You don't turn down a chance to get a top 5 player long term.

It seems as if there are two options:

1) Take the L and be "defeated"
2) Get mocked for eternity as a running joke

The Blazers have given CJ McCollum a 4 year/$106mm max extension ahead of hitting RFA next season. Blazers are now paying McCollum/Evan Turner/Allen Crabbe more next season than the entire 2013-2014 salary cap.
