2016 Open Contest - deac29 dominates: Final Standings Posted

Just got dq'd for the first time ever lol. Been playing competitive golf for years and never happened before. Good news is I got to watch the open ;)
 
That was the best golf I've ever seen out of the last pairing in a major. Phil 65, Stenson 63 wow! Don't really remember the "Duel in the Sun," but not sure it could've been better other then it was Nicklaus v. Watson.
 
It's one of those in sports where you just have to give the other guy props. Phil played great, but Stenson played better.

Can't imagine Phil's going to lose any sleep tonight, did about all he could do, Stenson was just better today.

The 1977 Duel was a two day version of today, Watson 65/65 and Nicklaus 65/66.

I guarantee you, if you had given Mickelson a 65 at the beginning of the day, he would never have teed it up. Stenson was unreal.

65 was a 2 shots better than anybody else today not named Stenson, he'd have taken it in a heartbeat.
 
Awesome golf. To shoot 63 in the final round is just amazing. And he had to with Phil shooting a 65. That was fun to watch.

Deac29's feat may be the board's equivalent of DiMaggio's 56 game hitting streak. It maynnever be broken.
