THE Open Championship, Don't Call It the British Open.

FORMAT: Listed below are most of the golfers participating in the The Open Championship. You need to pick 6 of them with a total value of 400 or more. Pick carefully - your team will end up "missing the cut" if more than two of your golfers miss the cut in the event! To make your selections, send me a PM with the golfers' names and point values.

SCORING: Your score will be the aggregate of your best four golfers. Since you have to have at least four scores counting, if more than two of your golfers miss the cut, so does your team. There are also "bonus points" at the end of the tournament. If you've got the champion golfer on your team, it's -5. The runner-up gets you -3, and having the third-place golfer gets you -1 off your score.

DEADLINE: All entries must be sent to me by 1:30 AM Thursday, July 14th.

Sleepy could you post the running totals. Thanks.

Wrangor is probably leading.....

bob, I didn't kick your dog....or put that stick up your butt.

150s Marc Warren and Jimmy Walker have been in the Top 40 of each of the past two British Opens.

Other things to consider:
Todd Hamilton's average finishing position at the Open held at Troon: 1
Justin Leonard's last two appearances at the Open at Troon: 1 and T16
Mark Calcavecchia's last three appearances at the Open at Troon: 1, T11, and T10

Sergio has 21 Grand Slam Top 10s with no wins. I'm trying to decide between he and Scott.

True. I decided to see if I can make the cut with a team entirely from the 150 pool.

When we announce our teams, we should also name our top 6 150s. That way we can tell who makes the cut without adding extra teams for Sleepy to keep track of.

Poor Bill Haas. Guy is consistently a top-30 player in the world yet gets slotted at 150 pts the last two majors. And not without good reason, unfortunately. Maybe Baltusrol.
