The official LOL Harry Giles thread

Not many college teams play a true C. Not sure what that has to do with Giles playing on the wing. Tatum handles the ball on the perimeter and shoots 3s. He was the #1 ranked SF in HS but has the size to play cbb PF sometimes like Winslow. Giles was #1 PF in high school but just sucks in general right now, playing big or not. Giles doesn't really handle the ball beyond the 3 point line. They've got him on a lot mid range postups in very limited time so far.

Whether he'd play SF for Wake to play Dinos is a hypothetical that I don't think is all that interesting, but he's not a wing for Duke.
 
Tatum is barely shooting 25% from deep. He's not a true wing either. All 3 players are tweeners in college, with Tatum simply being far better than the other 2.

This is an asinine argument so I'll leave it at that.
 
He's shooting 4 3s a game, Giles is shooting 0. Percentage is clearly beside the point.

I guess Hudson wasn't a wing for Wake last year because he shot 26% from three.

The kid did suffer another significant injury.. While it is true he may never be the same, it could also be true that he just needs time and may not be ready to go to the NBA next year
 
He could improve his draft stock next year, or he could be following the career arc of James Michael McAdoo.... the #1 PF recruit in the country that was a 1st round pick after his freshman year and undrafted after leaving early his junior year.

True, he is now #lightyearsahead... but we can't assume everyone can be so lucky.

If he had come to Wake, he would have gotten plenty of run to get his game together. Oh well.
 
If he hadn't listened to K who told him to go to Oak Hill to get him out of Wake's backyard, maybe he doesn't tear his ACL a second time either. Oh well.

Could have been improving his skills and draft status as a vital part of a team contending for the NCAA rather than simply being a spectator on the Duke bench in the NCAA. Choices people make and the consequences with which they must live. Big mistake.
 
Giles plays like a freshman. Dude was never Lebron on two good knees.

If he isn't good, why would we want him at Wake?
 
No coincidence that Duke's defense was way better when Bolden was in there. Giles can't defend the PnR to save his life.
