Just read that Steve Donatell is on the Seahawks roster as a TE after spending a post-graduate year at Western Kentucky. Good for him.

Started this thread to keep status on Deacons on camp rosters ...

His brother is the quality control coach for Seattle. Steve played on the Rams practice squad last year.

Connections help with jobs out of college.

In addition to draftee Marquel Lee, among those that played for WF last year, WF CB Brad Watson is on the Chargers roster and Josh Banks is on the Giants roster. Not aware of any other Deacs from last year's team vying for NFL roster spots. Tyler Hayworth was on the Jaguars mini-camp roster, but don't think he made their training camp roster.

Marquel Lee could start in Oakland over Corey James at MLB. Pretty awesome for a 5th round pick.

Chris Givens, Josh Bush are FAs

Joe Looney is listed as the backup center with Dallas.

Kyle Wilbur is the backup Sam LB with Dallas.

Josh Harris was released from the BC Lions - injured.

Looks like Tommy Bo is on the Jags' roster - special teams.

Have seen two highlights of Kevin Johnson this year thus far - the first was getting absolutely abused by Kelvin Benjamin on the first series (play?) of the preseason game, and the other was Hopkins making him look silly in practice. Seems like the Texans are still really high on him, at least.

The bad news is he started camp on the PUP list. Hope he stays healthy. When he does, he brings a lot to the Ravens offense.

Campanaro has shown some potential as a slot threat on the rare occasions when he's managed to stay healthy for more than a couple weeks at a time.

Pffft.

Returning punts may be Campanero's meal ticket for staying in the NFL but it won't help his effort to stay healthy.

Raiders cut veteran LBs Ben Heeney and injured Jelani Jenkins. For now, it looks like Lee will be starting Game 1 at MLB over Tyrell Adams, with Cory James at WLB. They could always add a player via FA, or waivers, but Wednesday of game week, you usually want to know who your starters are.

Good for him. Hope he does a lot with the opportunity. Two Big Backs for Titans in Murray and Henry right off the bat.
