Bball Recruiting Megathread: Devin Mitchell on campus

There's no sense signing anyone who isn't a big...certainly no way should we sign a wing,

Send him to the same surgeon that did George St. Pierre's ACL.

Mofo. Any hope of pulling in another 2013?

Why, he should still be able to play most if not all of the season. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to see Dr. Martin since he is the team orthopedist for WFU sports and is the director of sports med over at Baptist. That will make the whole rehab process easier for Greg and since he is from Winston he won't be going out of the way.

Yeah but I doubt he'll go to classes after the surgery at least for the first week or two. I know at Wake when athletes have this surgery they miss classes for a week. Being at home would be better than being stuck in a dorm since you have your whole support system. It is just an assumption on my part based off of my experience with this surgery this summer.

He is a super kid that has had some real shitty luck in the last year.

Hoping for the best recovery.

Mitchell finished with 38 last night by the way.

34 points, 12/18 from the field, 2/4 from 3, 8-8 from the line, 3 stls, 6 reb, 3 assists, 1 TO, and most importantly 9 would-be's

He fouled out of the game with 5 minutes left with only 4 fouls.....

Looked like he wasn't even trying. Defensive effort was lacking, but he was scrapping down low when he got put in the middle of a 2-3 zone on D.

Also, they were up bug for a majority of the game so the effort really didn't need to be there.

REALLY awkward shot if you haven't seen it yet, but...... (see shooting numbers)

Could have easily gone off for 40+.

Might be a good 7th or 8th man now.

I'm just going to assume they're "would've been assists had X, Y or Z caught the ball and/or made the layup," but who can really say.

Assists and TOs for an elite HS PG are the most misleading stats ever. Elite PGs are so far ahead of their teammates. They see where their guys should be, but the 6'3 PF doesn't realize it.

True, recruit rankings acknowledge that fact. The #1 PG in the nation only averages like 6 a game.
