I really don't understand how you people want to blame Bzz for everything, but Battle, Childress, and Rusty are sacred cows. Some of you also act like the only thing holding us back personnel-wise is the lack of a serviceable 6'10" center when we have a serious talent deficit on this team, and that's all Bzz's fault too.

I don't know many who do. There are a few who think Childress will be the next Coach K if we just give him a shot, but most are ready to clean slate. Battle is the only proven coach on the bench, but he'll land on his feet. He's responsible for most of the success, however limited, we've had during the Bz years IMO.

Again, I blame Wellman. It was inevitably his idea to use Rusty and Childress as human shields for [Redacted]. That's perhaps more unforgivable than the hiring of [Redacted] in the first place.

These are reasonable questions that should be addressed.

This is an update for the Deacon Club, he's supposed to make all our sports sound good even if they suck. Take a look at some of our other sports and you'll probably see similar fluff pieces (I have not read it). Lots of reasons to not care for Wellman recently but this thing is as expected.
 
Count me in the camp that wants a complete clean sweep of coaches. Sorry Rusty,Battle, and Chill but the coaching business is tough a tough one and you guys were unfortunate enough to be covered in [Redacted] stink.

Yep, always be wary of the company you keep. Childress did this to himself as well. He took a gamble and lost. He still have plenty of time to recover in the coaching world.

When Bzz goes they all go- Chill has credentials no to be head coach and as great a player as he was- going down that road would be another step backwards. We need to stop hiring failed coaches, coaches with no personality, coaches with no fire, and coaches with sissy hand clapping as their only resume bullet point.

Huh? Childress doesn't even have the credentials to be a lead assistant yet.

He can't say "our coach sucks" in a fundraising email.
The no comment on Bz specifically spoke volumes.
I have no connections but expect Bz gone in March. Perhaps it's my blind faith in humanity.

Remember the announcers talking about this, but didn't see the actual stats until now. Ugh. 67.3% overall and 68.8% from 3. So Maryland took 52 shots from the field and scored 81 points from the field. That's like shooting 78% from the field if they were all 2 point shots.
 
So the kids are working very hard everyday in practice so they are getting better... But we are not seeing wins because the effort is inconsistent rather it be games or practice. Thanks Ronnie. It's all crystal clear now. I can sit back and enjoy the on court beat downs comfortable in the knowledge that we will continue to get better as the hard working kids learn to work hard consistently.

It was even worse in person. I'm definitely not the biggest Bzzz Out shill but it was awful. I can't think of one defensive play where we stopped them. There were a couple of shots that simply didn't go in or a few random turnovers. It was the worst defensive performance I've ever witnessed and that's from 2nd graders playing all the way up to professionals. At least 2nd graders will foul someone or get in the way at times. There was none of that in College Park.

Would like to retain Battle. He's the reason most of our freshman class came to Wake, and some would consider a transfer if he left. Not to mention his recruitment of Shelton.
