i agree. i'm just sort of discussing the initial post. the timing of that announcement would be ridiculous today. i am convinced bzz will be back and would not be surprised for wellman to extend him for "recruiting" purposes. boy do i hope i am wrong.
 
Even if he gets an extension, it doesnt mean much as RW proved with Dino. I'm afraid another year of [Redacted] is inevitable but I don't see anything past year 4.
 
Do people not realize the "HIT" Wellman's reputation will take if he keeps this chronic loser another year...Folks, Wellman has to be concerned for his legacy now as he does not have many years remaining in his profession.

Wellman's only concern at this point seems to be proving that he is right. If that means that the program continues to go down in flames for another year or two under [Redacted] than so be it. If we finish the 2014-15 season 8-10 in conference and 16-16 overall Wellman and his lackeys can still point to progress because, hey, at least we aren't 8-24 anymore.
 
Is Wellman ready to shell out the coin required to land someone who can turn this program around? Like now...?? Only way he can restore his "legacy"

It would be very unprofessional for the vice-chair of the 2013 selection committee to get rid of his coach and presumably be considering for replacement current coaches who he will deliberated on for inclusion and/or seeding for this year's tournament.

That's ridiculous. Every AD should be using their committee access as an opportunity to scout for coaching talent.

I think Ron has learned that providing an extension and then firing the coach 1 year after that extension is a bad move from a fiscal perspective and can handcuff the program in more ways than one. He either cuts bait this year or does a wait and see like he did with GDO. GDO ran when he didn't get that extension.
 
The announcement will be - there are are Wake tickets for the ACC Tournament available. If you buy one, you get three free...along with a Jos A Bank gift certificate.

Should have been fired for hiring a buddy. CONFLICT OF INTEREST.
 
Remember that after the first year, some people said "He'll be back next year but I can't see another year after that if he is still bad"
Then after the second year, some people said "He'll be back next year again, but no way he can survive past that if he's still doing bad"
Then this year, some people are saying "He'll be back next year yet again, but it has to be his last if he still is losing"

At what point does that meaning lose its effectiveness? It's been said three years in a row now. Every year is supposed to be the make or break year but it isn't.

No that's not so. The firing of [Redacted] was never going to happen before either the end of our season or the end of the ACCT.

If [Redacted] is fired, I would say a week from today was the most likely day. The second most likely is Friday.

My sentiments exactly! @ some point this HUGE MISTAKE by Wellman has to be rectified. Remember, everyone makes mistakes. The tragedy is not willing to correct the error and move forward. That my friends is the hallmark of sound business ethics.
 
This is one of the best constructed parody accounts of all time. Someone took the time to:

1) Hide behind a proxy server using cantfindme.org

2) Knows that there is a user who has numerous dwarf parodies

3) Created a username that is a subtle, yet obvious reference to dwarves

Assuming Marquee Moon is telling the truth that it's not him, someone created the perfect cover with this parody.

If it happens, the fire should happen a week from today. I am just saying that NCAA duties should not get in the way of Wellman's actual job and should not be used as an excuse for not doing it.
