Malaysian Airline Flight MH370

Follow @flyingwithfish to keep up to date with educated theories. Dude has DHS sources and seems to think the plane may be in Iran and the hijacking may have been state sponsored but not for use as a weapon but as technology piracy.

LOL, what?? Iran risks getting into a war with China in order to get some old airplane technology? That's just below aliens on my list of possibilities.

I was looking for a list of similar incidents & happened to find this post on Reddit this morning... thought others might find it interesting:

Here's some good Air crash investigation (or similar) episodes to help become an armchair expert while we wait for more information on this incident. It's crazy how many of the ones below were thought to be terrorism before they figured things out. I love watching the intros and seeing if I'm hooked. I put the ones I consider most relevant to this incident at the top. Some crazy shit has gone down.Edit: It makes me happy many people have saved this for later, so I cleaned it up some and gave Wikipedia links too! Not sure if any of these work outside the USA, if not just search the episode title or flight number, they're easy to find, often in 5 parts. Turned into a top 34 list that has a run-time of 25.5 hours!

Beats me, this story has reached the Tyson Zone. Anything is possible.

"educated"

Now I'm seeing where that Iran theory was coming from. People are saying there were passengers aboard who worked for the US company Freescale, who supposedly design either airplane cloaking technology or weapons systems.

How would they fly over these countries airspace undetected? It's not like this thing's a Stealth Bomber.

The most direct route to Iran would go through India and Pakistan. Both countries are advanced enough to have developed nuclear bombs and aren't likely to allow an unidentified plane to cruise through their airspace. The Seals used stealth helicopters on the OBL raid and they were still detected by Pakistan.

That's what I don't like about terrorism theories. Mess with the US, sure. But mess with China? That seems like asking for trouble.

Oh, so this is essentially the creation of Iron Man? Sweet!

All the airstrips they could've landed at.

Can you land a 777 on a relatively flat, unpaved surface? It seems like that would take some SERIOUS skill

I would imagine so. I've read it can be landed on water. Might not be pretty, but if keeping the plane intact isn't a priority, doesn't seem impossible.

This whole saga becomes harder and harder to believe as each day passes. Looks like it is appears to be pilot action/suicide; not what I'm sure anyone who has loved ones involved want to hear but very likely.
