The rumor makes no sense. Wellman sat on his hands for how many years while Lobo sank the ship that was Wake football.

Then again, he did fire Grobe, presumably because he refused to make Lobo find a new job.

But it makes no sense to hire a guy, make him take and retain the old assistants, and then blame the assistants four years down the line when the shitty coach is proving to be shitty. He should fire himself since he had Buzz take on the old assistants. And maybe, just maybe, he should consider that the assistants are content to take a paycheck and go home because the experience of working for Buzz is just that fucking miserable.
