Official 2013-2014 NBA Thread: TIMOTHY THEODORE DUNCAN #5

Isn't he 2-5 in NBA finals? Or did you mean 2 of the last 3?

Re our earlier discussion... After today's game I'm in agreement on Leonard's MVP award.

2-3. 2 wins, 3 losses.

Tim on NBA-TV. He's going to be around for a while.

IMO, he's not walking away until he becomes ineffective.

When asked if losing last year made this possible, he said no they would have had two championships.

Whoa, I never realized section2overalls made an appearance in Timmy's draft video:

I can't think of a championship team in the post-Magic/Bird era that was CLEARLY better than this one. Who beats the defending champions and the best player in the game with a record FG% and record margin? Three future HOF players and another guy wins MVP.

They're up there with Phil's Bulls and Kobe/Shaq Lakers teams. I'd definitely take them over the Pistons and Rockets championship teams and obviously the Heat championship teams including 2006.

Head to head, the 2nd set of Bulls championship teams would be a very tough matchup just because defensively Jordan, Pippen, Kukoc, and Rodman stack up very well against Parker, Manu, Kawhi, and Duncan. Green on Jordan just wouldn't work. Spurs have a bench edge, but the matchups just aren't favorable.
Bulls in 6.

I believe patty fucking mills led all bench players in made 3pointers for the playoffs. I am back baby. Jason terry curse be done.

If I am te heat I try very hard to get the little aboriginal to spot up on the heat. He would be so good as the starting 1 on the heat. Lebron wade and bosh have to come back right? You don't quit after that spanking. It kills most of way you built over the last 4. Gortat and mills somehow. Done

The Spurs just went 62-20 in a loaded West and destroyed a team with the best player on the planet going for a 3 peat, and did it setting records. Of course they should be in the conversation with the all-time great teams.

They'd lose to the 72-10 team in 5 or 6.

and the heat were exposed this year. defense wasn't as elite as it has been the last couple of years.

Unreal stretch of basketball. Save for the serious post about how Duncan was worried Pop would trade him on draft day, I'm not even annoyed by anything posted by the Spurs donks in the past 24 hours.

72 regular season wins.

I couldn't believe Chris Bosh shooting fall away jumpers over Tony Parker last night not once but twice. Seemed weird from a guy who guaranteed a victory. It is like he guaranteed the victory then turned to Lebron and said, "go do it for me, buddy. I got your back, er, heels."

Lebron passing with Parker on him was worse.
