Duke's Okafor's draft stock on the decline per wake forest gasbags.Click to see why

That's why I said big man, not a euro pussy stretch 4. Embiid averaged 11ppg, lets not get ahead of ourselves because he makes the occasional 15 footer.

palma watches and knows college bball. Listen to the man.

So now your examples of why you can win with offensively talented, defensively limited bigs are Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett? Good work. You've convinced me.

I love how Okafor is "defensively limited". Coming out of high school his shot-blocking ability was one of his attributes, and he was a pretty good shotblocker at Duke. But since he can't move laterally as quickly as KAT all of a sudden you ditch the best offensive low post prospect in almost 20 years (really since Duncan)? That makes zero sense. If you want an ELITE RIM PROTECTOR, then go sign one of the 20 that are already out there and not winning, and plug them in next to Okafor. His is the rare valuable skillset, athletic defensive big guys are the norm in today's NBA.

you realize that all 4 teams in the conference finals have an elite rim protector and 0 back to the basket post scorers, right?

Yes, because elite rim protectors are not especially hard to find, whereas back to the basket post scorers are tough to find. You are proving my point.

And Miami made 4 straight finals with Birdman at center.

The biggest constant are elite wings.

What I don't get about the top of this draft is how Okafor and KAT are talked about as 1a and 1b and could go in either order. When I watched Dick and KY this past season, it seemed obvious that KAT was the better and more polished player. What am I missing?
Okafor didn't play with two other seven-footers and play in a mid major conference like KAT.

Everyone overrates defensive centers in one way or another, so check out my message to you

I'd take Okafor but it's close.

It's funny to read all the top analysts. If you removed the 2 names and just read their descriptions you'd think they all agreed on the best player. But half say Okafor is more polished. Half say Towns. Half say Towns has the higher upside but is currently a bit limited, half say the same exact thing about Okafor.

To me, Towns looks smoother and Okafor looks more explosive. I might just take whoever comes off as having the better work ethic.
