BBall Recruiting Thread 2k16- SJM, Washington, Childress & Mitchell sign NLIs; 2017?

Matt Freeman committed to Oklahoma.

That was unexpected but WF never moved past the interest stage. Giles, Froling, Miller, and Ekiyor are probably the top big man targets.

Really looking slim on the big men targets. Manning must be pretty confident he'll at least land Miller/Ekiyor

I always got the feeling that Freeman was not among the top big men targets, especially since I don't think he ever got an offer while all the other guys that we talk about do have offers. If Dinos does end up returning like rumored, Freeman becomes slightly redundant as his skill set is very similar to Dinos' skill set. Probably better to try to land a true PF over another stretch 4.

We know that WF is involved with numerous other skilled big men, and Manning probably has a guy or two behind the scenes as well (like McEwen). Freeman is a very good player but him choosing OK is not something to worry to much about at this point.

Quinton Rose has committed to Temple. Though once Washington committed he was a major backup-backup plan

5* PF TJ Leaf decommitted from Arizona. Duke was heavily involved, I think.

So TJ leaf gets back from playing overseas and suddenly decommits? When was manning in Europe...? :jfk:

Giles won't be dissuaded by any other PF commits or interest but it is nice that K is exploring backup options.

Sometimes I think Duke is worried about losing Harry & others to Kentucky.

Always good to have plenty of options. Unfortunately for us, the Dukes and Kentuckys of the word have a line of backup options that are also five stars.

Eli Wright, who is transferring to IMG Academy next season, will take an official visit to Mississippi State on August 17th, he tells Scout.
