Hot Musical Taeks:

I like John Mayer and Florida Georgia Line.

Not "listen to the radio" like, but go to their concerts like.

John Mayer is a very talented guitar player. Covered one of his concerts at my old newspaper gig and it was funny watching all the teen girls go WTF when he played Crossroads (the Cream version of the cover). saw him with Dead and Company last year and he did a nearly perfect Jerry impression (guitar -- voice leaves a bit to be desired, but it's still better than Bob Weir singing the Jerry tunes).

GOLDENEYE, bro. Or are disney movies the only category you're talking about?

MEH. I got my N64 when Perfect Dark came out, and never really went back to Goldeneye, because what the fuck is the point, Perfect Dark was 10/10 G.O.A.T. material.

I dug Goldeneye's multiplayer levels though

I liked Nickelback when I saw them open for 3 Doors Down in high school. their first album had just come out and they did a cover of People of the Sun. this was before they blew up.

All Jerry Garcia ever did was noodle through scales. Not that big of a deal. No wonder stoners were amazed.

I think Townie and I have discussed this on a thread about him, but it's a bit of a shame he wasted time cranking out pop hits for a few years with that guitar talent.

His Bold As Love cover is one of my favorites.

Two of the marriages ended in death. I joke with my wife that I'm going to put her mom on Tinder, open up a funeral home, and profit.

how does your wife like that joke

because it's a real good joke

BSF fan
Courtney Lee

you've got some good ones

present day hot taek: I still don't think I was wrong about Courtney Lee, he IS considered one of the better perimeter D guys in the league, fuck all y'all

I read that he did it so he could make money and get the clout with the record companies to do what he really wanted to do. Stuff like the John Mayer Trio, that's his real love. And now the Dead stuff. But Dead and Company didn't tour this fall because he's got an obligation to put out a solo record.

Yeah, John Mayer is awesome. I'm an unapologetic John Mayer fan - that dude can shred a guitar. You've got to get into his live recordings, or the John Mayer Trio album ("Try!") and away from some of the pop.

I'm sure he regrets making all that money and still being on the cover of Rolling Stone with Derek Trucks and Jon Frusciante as three of the world's best guitarists.

Yeah, Mayer is great

macgruber is one of the best comedies of this generation

Live In LA is a phenomenal album imo.
