Currie is going to have to do some super deep dives in a # of under the radar/diamond in the roughs coaches as not going to get a well known coaching commodity at this point in time. The lustre and shine of Rodney Rogers, Timmy D, Chill, CP3, our all NBA team of Ish/Teague/JJ/Aminu and past successes are pretty much forgotten by most and no one is going to want to jump into this garbage heap. If not afraid of some past questionable coaching influences I think a Steve Forbes from East Tenn St could be a great hire (worked with Gillespie and Pearl) or if more on the clean sheet associations a Matt McMahon @ Murray State or Brian Wardle @ Bradley. Think we are going to have to go even riskier for a young guy who is just starting to get a few winning seasons/ncaa tourneys with understanding he has 2 years to show vast improvement or onto the next high risk/reward potential hire. We have too much to offer in money, facilities, ACC, etc. to mess around and be very upfront that we know the right coach can win and do it the right way. It only took Davey O a couple of years and many others around the nation that have done the same and able to sustain successful programs.
