the problem is, as someone who has mostly styled my game after Da (not taking notes, posting a lot, letting other people do the heavy lifting but applying logic to it), i kinda rely a lot on tone, and that can really mislead you

You were screaming special/Indy all game. I just had no way to do anything about it.

I woke up late, glanced at the first 50 or so posts, hurried up to vote, stayed on redwing, then read the prior 5 minutes, saw the vote count, saw redwing's claim, didn't feel good about him or doofus, and so I voted for jman.

rommy and gouda are looking antsy since there doesn't seem to be near consensus this round. They're trying to get a good old fashioned ph run going.

Waiting for juice before voting.

Townie is playing a good game. He seems right in between civ Townie and maf Townie.

Kind of you to say. I was so happy with your role when I wrote it but, in hindsight, the concept was just too much and too confusing. I wrote that role as a fanboi of the show not really considering the impact on people that were unfamiliar. I also didn't think it out well prior. More on that in my mea culpa

I wish I had of done it better. Although, if I dodge investigation, I think I am alive a couple of nights longer and have a shot at it assuming people spend.

I forget which night it was, around N8/9, but GAT finally disclosed he was maf 1 but I misread it and thought that meant he was a traitor and I kind of lost it. Duff and I had discussed the possibility that GAT was playing us (and it kind of played into me choosing not to hit Townie). I re-read the parlay PM that he gave me confirming that I would win with Mike and I did finally figure out that GAT was still good with me on stuff, just from maf 1. Apologies to parlay for anything I said in the chatzy.

I was doing my best to play middle of the road, didn't think there was much I did to set myself apart from either side - I stayed away from late round votes, didn't make any consequential votes, stayed away from a lot of call outs / reads.

Yes you do. Not fucking around with you at all. I've never seen you never get pissed off or show any sort of frustration unless you're civ. You did in the Nintendo game when D14 was going after you. And you were close to pissed off with me when i said that.

QT this was the first game where I legit wasn't sure about your alignment. It's normally so black and white with you when you're a civ and when you're not but I just didn't see it and then you were dead.

I think the reason the civs have won so often is
1) everyone claims
2) dumb tells

I have no idea how to deal with the dumb tells, so I decided to deal with the claiming. I apologized to numbers b/c I got a little frustrated with him and then he went and started talking about Mrs Nguyen and hinting he could be her, which prompted the angle shooting PM. We had just had an exchange where I told he he could not say he was her. In fairness, I hadn't read 75% of the posts because I couldn't keep up. That's not on him or anyone else. That's on me.

No worries it was a tough situation. I was upset because GAT was openly addressing Mrs. Nguyen and me and I had no idea how I was supposed to defend myself in that situation given that I wasn't allowed to talk about ID changes or my own role. I got angry because GAT (or anyone else) was able to speculate about it but I couldn't talk about it which frankly does not allow for a fair exchange.

The claiming rules actually worked out in my favor because I never was in a position to claim. Got close during the numbers round but GAT was clutch with his "claim" that allowed me to put a 3rd vote on numbers and take me more than 1 vote away from the top. I was trying not to address the Kim Wexler stuff unless absolutely necessary.

I never lied in those messages at all. Toogs fed me the Da thing which i have no idea where that came from. Was just passing it along.

I need help understanding the Mrs Nguyen thing when I shot numbers

So I know you watch the show and you know there are constant flashes to Jimmy/Saul as Gene from Omaha, Cinnabon Asst. Mgr. Not sure if this is a spoiler or not but we do get a cameo from Robert Forster as Ed Galbreath in BCS and Saul is calling for another ID because Gene is blown. Ed tells him it will cost him more.

That's where the concept came from. Each Mafia player had a value and when they died, any non mafia player voting for them was RNGed and awarded the corresponding amount. For some reason, Townie kept winning. He gifted the first one to numbers, who was like a kid in a candy store (Numbers had a boring role). He was hopeful he might get a more exciting role. Then I had to explain to him this was like an emergency thing, like you are in trouble and need to disappear. So he requested it but then I couldn't get a hold of Da. Da accepted. Numbers got a new ID (which saved him from any actions at the time he executed it). So for that night only, any actions, etc failed on numbers. He essentially became Gene from Omaha.

The issue was then they wanted to reveal it and I said the whole purpose of this is you were in trouble, trying to get away and stay hidden, so no on the reveal.

Would I ever put that into another game? No. Did I pray for Da to get hit or lynched since the minute numbers get money? yes. will I ever host more than a basic 13 person game again? no. (but I'll be glad to asst someone and fuck up their game) los:

Huh, I guess I need to check how I am coming across. I wasn't mad or anything, cause I didn't care who lived and died at that point as long as they spent money - and I had no idea who could or couldn't spend money.
