Official 2023-24 NBA Season Thread - Conference Finals: Celtics-Pacers, T-Wolves-Mavericks

The Grizz drop to 0-3 with a loss at the Wizards. Jake got 15 minutes and scored 5 pts on 2-9 fg. Poole and Kuzma combined for 48 points on 17-46 fg, 5-22 from deep. That's about what I'm expecting from them except for the win. Kispert had 22 of the bench.

Only 4 teams are 0-2 (Nets, Hawks, Blazers, Rockets) and the T-Wolves are 0-1 and up on the Heat.

funny to see the dubs fans realizing they love having cp on their team
He admitted he had to laugh when the crowd chanted ‘CP3’ during his FTs.

He gives a huge boost to the non Steph minutes.

I assume he’ll be coming off the bench soon with Draymond back tomorrow, which will break the longest active starting streak in the NBA and 5th longest of all time. LeBron is 30 games behind him so he’d pass CP for 5th this year.

Wemby has produced some amazing highlights and he’s only played in 2 games

Zach LaVine had the first 50 piece of the season with 51 points in a loss to the Pistons.

The Bulls have two elite wings and a very good C but they probably have no chance of making the playoffs.

Jalen Duren had 23/15/5/1/2. Ausar Thompson started at SF and had 9/12/5/1/1. That is a nice young lineup. James Wiseman had a DNP. He had some good games to end last season, but looks like he's the 4th big behind Duren, Stewart, and Bagley III. They've done some sneaky good drafting.

I will spend an insane amount of time over the next 15+ years watching Spurs games, watching and sharing Wemby highlights, and watching and listening to other people marvel about Wemby highlights.

Chris Paul just running things with the Dubs second unit. He can probably do this till age 45. He's +19 halfway through the 2nd quarter in his first game coming off the bench in his career.

Draymond with some bad turnovers so Kerr takes him out and Subs in CP3. Should make for an interesting Dynamic if those two end up fighting for the same minutes. Edited to say Draymond also picked up 3 fouls.

Figurative and literally.

He’s a lock for 6th man of the year as long as he plays the required amount of games

imagine dressing as the Mandalorian to go see the Rockets play

Steph is clowning Dillon Brooks right now and it's beautiful

Good to see Mark Jones and MY GIRL Kayte Christensen back doing Kings games. They've got Matt Barnes doing some commentary as well.

Wemby getting his first taste of regular season play against a talented veteran team in the Clippers. It's not going well so far.

I'm sure this post will jinx everything, but so far Scoot pretty much sucks ass and Brandon Miller has been Him, as the kids would say. Plus, Miller tried to fight basically the entire Pistons team, including Beef Stew and Duren who could both easily kick his ass, at multiple points on Friday night, which I like to see. Let's hope he keeps it up.

been traveling a good bit since the NBA season started and have hardly watched any hoops yet

what are the big stories here besides Scoot sucks, CP still good, Wemby not a real human being person, and Brandon Miller is actually in fact HIM?
