I just don't think this is something new. My 8th grade girlfriend spent an hour every morning applying her heavy ass make-up and spent countless hours in the tanning bed chasing the beauty standards of the time. It is definitely fucked up, but hey that's ever-changing beauty standards for you.
Navigating what is or isn't actually helpful in the skin care world is definitely fraught with all sorts of bad actors and advertising and bullshit, but it's also a journey to discover what works for your skin and finding a routine that is good for you in the long-run is probably helpful. Reddit skin care subforums are filled with 30 year olds who wish they had started taking care of their skin in their teens/twenties.
I also think this same generation is going to continue the zoomer trend of drinking less alcohol etc. in pursuit of similar goals, so it isn't all bad.

As someone w/mild astigmatism, I fucking get it lol. There are some really weirdly lit sections of 85 that are pretty terrible to drive at night.

It’s funny bc whenever i hit scan while driving through the sticks, you’d think all Id get are pop country and RW terrorist shows. Which i get plenty but invariably there will be two stations in the FM 80s scratching out classical.
The subtleties of a quiet French horn passage don’t translate well to poor broadcast quality but they do it anyway.
