Official 2023-24 NBA Season Thread - Conference Finals: Celtics-Pacers, T-Wolves-Mavericks

Nice finish ending to Mavs-Cavs. Worth putting Crunchtime on the 2nd TV.

I hate NBA refs

Mavs shot themselves in foot not running Strus off the line in 4th so they have to take some blame

but there were some calls at end that were up there with the Knicks/Detroit and Knicks/Houston game

Crunchtime on the NBA App and League Pass with YouTubeTV Multiview is a nice way to spend a Tuesday evening.

Hard to compare with what is the best studio show in sports history. The TNT B team is better than ESPN. Parker is great. Eventually they'll add Draymond. Crawford is decent. Just needs to be a little more upbeat.

CP had a solid return and he’s leading probably the best 2nd unit in the NBA.

Biggest issue with the Warriors is the closing lineup. Good teams all year have walked them back in the 4th.

The best closing lineup is probably pairing Steph with the good defenders GPII Wiggins Draymond and Jackson-Davis but Kerr hasn’t given that lineup many minutes together. It’s not a good sign if your closing lineup isn’t defined this late into the season, plus it’s gotta be tough to close as a young dude when you have two HOFers (CP Klay) watching your every move from the bench.

Strus went 5 for 5 from three in the last 3:42 of the win over Dallas. His 59 foot GW shot was the 2nd longest game winning buzzer beater in NBA history.

Also, NBA unders have been cashing like crazy since the ASB:

Jason Concepcion made a great point about the uncompetitive All-Star game in his latest podcast. He said that is the direct outcome of parity and the play-in. More players have something to play for after the break. So it makes sense that we’re seeing unders hit after the All-Star break. Shit is getting real.

the ASG is uncompetitive because more teams make the playoffs?

that's a huge stretch imo

go back to those competitive ASGs with AI and Kobe et al -- all those dudes were playing on playoff teams

Lebron is going nuts to comeback from down 21 to the Clippers. He has 19 in the 4th. AD just tied it at the line with 4 min left.

Damn. Clippers lost. Kawhi's little baseline jumper to tie looked a lot like Sallis' last shot last night.

First time Lakers won the season series over the Clippers since 2011-12.

Largest 4th quarter comeback in Lebron's career.

This is very cool.

See, we are the underdogs!

CP never joined Miami with LeBron and Wade because he didn’t want to change his number.

In a career riddled with missed opportunities, this one tops the list.

Jesus. That’s not real. He didn’t want to win a championship as CPwhatever.

When did cp ever have a Chance to join Miami ?
