I think the idea is that some of those bands like Mazzy Star and At the Drive In most fans thought they would never see again. Liked arguably, you could put Neutral Milk Hotel as top billing over Snoop and Dre in spite of relative lack of name recognition or proliferation or whatever. At least that's how I interpret it. So...who's in? I wanna buy now. I'm a little worried about future employment, but I wanna let futureTownieDeac handle that.

I think Wolfgang's balls have dropped since I saw them on tour a few years ago. He was doing the Michael Anthony parts pretty well during that show, but the new toon is really lacking that Michael Anthony backing vocal sound.

I think the song overall sounds a bit too compressed. I know Dave can't sing anymore, but I think it's "good enough" in this case. I just hope he has a few yelps and whoos left in him for the album.

Kool and the Gang will be the opening act for the upcoming Van Halen tour. :tard:

A bit of an odd choice to say the least, but their catalog of songs is awesome. Saw them a few years ago and they put on a great show.

Kool and the Gang are so much fun. Saw them at BB King's with a few posters. That show was incredible.

My lady friend was listening to Of Monsters & Men "Little Talks" when we went to the movies on Saturday. I enjoyed it.

It's WXPN's album of the month, so I get to hear it a lot. I definitely dig.

Very, very pumped for this documentary, minus the crazy New Yorkers wearing kitten costumes and shit.

KEXP in Seattle, and I know there's one in Baltimore I'm forgetting.

Thanks Townie. Just got a Sonos and trying to add some cool stations. Great toy for any music lover. Checked the recent playlist for that UPenn station and it looked very good.

I get a 30 day free trial with Sirius. What time is she on?

Lana Del Rey is the musical guest on SNL this weekend.

Chris Paul was on Jimmy Kimmel last week. The other guests were Tracy Morgan and tUneYards. The TuneYards were horrible. Couldn't make it more than 30 seconds with either song(after she started singing). Searched the board archives and pos repped HP and TAB for saying how bad the TunEyArds are.

Was watching Austin City limits and saw The Head and the Heart. They are OK. i'm not exactly sure why the blond guy who acted like Joe Cocker lite was in the band unless he writes the songs.

I think they'd be much better replacing him with a harmony singer who played electric guitar. Give their music a little flavor.

Agree that The Head and the Heart are rather pedestrian. I'm not sure why they continue to get some hype around these parts.
