I don't care what his dad did. My dad played professional football and I didn't even play the sport. Is it rock bottom when we make evaluations of Buzz's recruits based off the resume of their father or was that when we just observed how big men work a buffet line?
 
Stan did you even read the thread? jaybone mentioned Doug Overton's pro career. All I did was show his college career.

As your dad being a pro football player and you being a scrub, that's immaterial.

I quoted you because it was supporting my view which is rationalizing the drop in recruiting.

And since you got personal, I wasn't a scrub you fucking loser. I had multiple division 1 scholarship offers for soccer. I just chose not to play football or actually it was chosen for me when a future NFL d-lineman broke my shoulder playing qb in hs. I'm sure you were a huge star in rec league or synagogue ball. In fact, the only thing I could possibly imagine you being any good at is whinning and bitching as evidenced by your 20k posts in 18 months and your infamous video clip.
 
I wasn't rationalizing anything. Miles stands on his own. It has nothing to do with his dad. He was our fourth choice at SG. He has other D1 offers.

I think we'll be happy with Overton and, should he commit, I'll be behind him 100%. That being said, the real failure is and will always be Jeff [Redacted]'s and his staff's. We whiffed on Stanford Robinson. We whiffed on Kam Williams.

We have offers to Davon Reed, Tim Quarterman, and Miles Overton. I think that's the hierarchy of fan preferences right there.

Did you just basically say that your dad was in NFL and you were a stud soccer player and could have been a stud QB if not for injury, as an argument against a potential advantage from having a father that played in the NBA? I think it is pretty common knowledge that athleticism is heritable. Also fairly common that high level athlete's kids tend to have a high sport IQ. Being taught to shoot a basketball as a kid from an NBA 3 point specialist tends to be an advantage over learning from Ray-Ray down the block.

Newkirk was likely headed to GT until his official visit and then in-home with Pitt this week. With him off the board GT will likely go after Quarterman harder - though I doubt he lands there.

Keep an eye on George Mason with Quarterman. Hewitt was on him really early and he continues to list George Mason even with alot of big name schools coming on him. He's got an official to George Mason reportedly set. AL is also apparently starting to go really hard on him now that they missed on their top 2 PG prospects last weekend.

Am I missing something here or are you seriously getting this worked up about a reference to synagogue league? How is that hateful? Synagogue league would be equivalent to church league, would it not?
 
I just think any time you bring up someone's religion or ethnicity when they themselves didn't bring it up, it's bullshit. Happens to PH a lot too. Some of it is benign. Most of it is, but it's still bullshit. And it piles on. StanGable brings it up out of the blue for no reason and Kanye West piles on. It's fucked.

So you would have said something similar if someone said "church league" in reference to a Christian poster? I'll let Stan defend himself, but I really don't see the issue at all here.
