CT: To our friends who no longer chance to stroll down the Boulevard of Chat, we hope you are well and welcome you back whenever you are ready

Anyone been to Vegas recently? Is Tacos El Gordo worthy of the hype? I'm headed there for a conference this week and was hoping to give this place a try.

Its tough out there. Happy that Barca is making headway and I hope he's close. For me, my role at work is expanding greatly so that's taking away from my job hunt. I'm trying to accept that this is what's in front of me and embrace it a little more, but it's kind of hard when I know deep down...

LinkedIn is probably the most popular aggregator of job listings. Indeed and Glassdoor are other places you might check - I don't always see the same stuff on all the sites. If you're in tech BuiltIn could have some jobs of interest. Lastly, and I offer this without first hand experience, I'm...

Official 2023-24 NBA Season Thread - Conference semifinals; Lakers hire JJ Redick?

He’s got to be up there, right? He averages 21 points in 31 minutes per game. He’s got something like 17 playoff games where he scored 30+ and he’s got a championship. Hell of a game last night. The offensive rebound by AG late in the 4th was kind of the play of the game in my opinion.

That's fair. I'm going to guess that most people using AI for resume help are in tech or tech adjacent and the expectation for bullet points is some quantification of impact. I find that using AI can help incorporate key words or phrases from the job posting into the bullet points that, in...

What part of it are you unsure of? I have been using an AI tool that my friends are bootstrapping to help me with my job search. Things I like: dashboard for tracking, I can quickly and easily get suggested modifications to my resume for each job, and custom cover letters / networking messages...

CT: To our friends who no longer chance to stroll down the Boulevard of Chat, we hope you are well and welcome you back whenever you are ready

Soccer games were cancelled today due to weather (it's pouring rain). Booked Euro-star tickets for our trip this fall which is really exciting - we've got everything but activities booked at this point. I need to go out and get a few pieces of clothing to wear at a conference in a couple of...

    Utah and Colorado Skiing

I don't know those skis specifically, but I went with K2 Mindbenders (1 ski quiver) and was really happy with them this year. I would imagine they are another option comparable to what you listed in terms of price and performance.

What are you listening to right now?

I'm thinking (hoping) this album gets a 25th anniversary re-release/tour this year. Seems like the band is hinting at it. Either way, one of my all time favorite albums.

This seems like training that could be delivered remotely and/or asynchronously (self-paced).

Chat Thread: Windy’s the pirate pilot of this Chat, if he gets with the ultraviolet dream.

They're young and I think they'd enjoy either/both. When my wife and I were in our mid-twenties, we went up to Myrtle for a weekend in the off-season and went to Medieval Times and had a blast. Got kind of hammered and just generally enjoyed the ordeal.

I hear you guys on it being hot and full of makos, but it's also a free (well, low cost) trip to the beach for my kids.

For those familiar with Myrtle Beach in summer time, is there an 'ideal' time of summer to go? My FIL has a condo we can use for free and we're thinking about doing 2 weeks there next summer. We'd probably go in the later half of July or first half of August - would one of those times be better...

I might try to go through in a bit and just see what's left, otherwise I'll do my RSD shopping on Discogs this week.

I'm biased because I know the founders, but I'm on my second or third Wally bi-fold from this company and I love the product. I've recommended to several friends who have tried them out and liked them as well. https://distilunion.com/collections/wallets

I remember my oldest used to house some chana masala when she was like 18 months old; thinking "we did it" when it came to having a good eater. Shortly thereafter she slowly started rejecting food after food after food. Now she's 8.5 and sticks to pretty much raw veggies, fruits, (plain) noodles...

Nice work, Barca. Glad you're getting some traction. I've got a phone screen tomorrow that I'm looking forward to and at the same time my role at work is greatly expanding as well (great opportunity, but doesn't change the fact that I don't want to be where I am).
