2024 Carolina Panthers thread - Panthers welcome RB Rashaad Penny

Is 5-10, 184 THAT small nowadays?

CBS initial report says he’ll play slot and has lightning quick feet but not elite speed.

Sounds like another player that won't last 2 seasons or see significant PT

I mean weren’t yall up on Mingo last year?

Maybe this is the year !

It is annoying as hell that we never hit on late round studs. And you can tell because all of the draft analysis is always about the limited upside. And inevitably you see the pundits gushing over the same position player drafted after the Panthers as being one of their favorite players in the draft, big sleeper, huge upside, etc.

Panthers- let’s draft the shouldn’t be drafted/ late round player with little to no upside since everytime we draft a player late they fail rinse and repeat.

Rest of the league- let’s draft a player in the late rounds that has injury concern, character concerns, something that made them slide but huge upside. No risk but enough times huge reward.

Carson was the next CB taken so it will be interesting to compare their careers. The NFL app profile said they though he would have been taken a round or two earlier.

MIchigan LB Michael Barrett is 7th round pick. I'm not as down as some of you on this draft, but its really hard to believe that we didn't draft a single OL.
