It’s taking the public transit agency 2 years to add 900 feet to the street car line. Woof.
I have seen it explained on Reddit as a way for an employer to encourage an employee to leave before they are fired, like here’s your opportunity to leave on your own terms and save us the paperwork.
According to my HR person, they often times do work, especially if someone legitimately wants to improve and is able to swallow their pride and work at it. But apparently people also often resign rather than go through the process or resign during the process when the continued feedback is that they aren't improving.Do PIP's ever work and cause someone to evaluate their performance and fix shit, or is the outcome inevitable every time?
I think the idea behind them is probably good and meant for it to be effective, but in today's day and age of layoffs I think everyone (rightfully) assumes that they will be getting laid off regardless of if they improve their performance. So why focus your effort on improving at the job you are about to get laid off from instead of focusing on finding your next job?According to my HR person, they often times do work, especially if someone legitimately wants to improve and is able to swallow their pride and work at it. by then i'm sure street car lines embedded in the street will no longer be an antiquated mode of transportIt’s taking the public transit agency 2 years to add 900 feet to the street car line. Woof.
As long as it’s about how not to indoctrinate our precious children I’m for itIf you want to know what working in public education is like, sometimes you get an email out of the blue about a mandatory week long summer training that takes place after the school year. This email comes about a month and a half before the mandatory training, but also well after everyone has made vacation plans. Also, in their eternal benevolence, they offer a "stipend" that breaks down hourly to less than a quarter of the federally mandated minimum wage.
Shit, what do you think he going to Raleigh for but liberal alphabet gay CRT grooming training, and ITS PAID FOR WITH OUT TAX DOLLARSAs long as it’s about how not to indoctrinate our precious children I’m for it
You’re afraid of turning Japanese?
yah that's fucking wild, this is how we lose good teachersI think I'm just gonna quit. I've been offered a role in my wife's company on several occasions and she seems a whole lot happier and less stressed since she's gotten out of teaching. They pay for her hotels and mileage too. At some point even I hit my limit with all this bullshit.
