Ant - that is nuts.
I don't have Adam Silver's email (hah), but was thinking about the All-Star weekend.
Could they play a REAL game on Saturday?
Let's say Phoenix is the host city and the Suns could play a real game vs. say, the defending champs from the prior season.
That would mean:
Friday -
Rookies vs. Second Year
Skills challenge
3-point challenge
Saturday -
A real game that starts at say, 6:00 pm. If you have a ticket, or you are a NBA player, you get to stay for the dunk contest. I don't know what the transition would look like.
Then, the dunk contest, which is a main draw.
Sunday -
Actual All-Star game.
That's not going to help the actual competition in the All-Star game, but would make the weekend overall a little more legitimate???
And what about the players on Saturday, in the real/live game - they would get an extra day or two off.
What if there is an All-Star or 2-3 All-Stars in the Saturday live game - they could play 5-6 minutes or just get introduced as part of the Sunday exhibition game. They then get an extra day off, no matter what.
