Looks like the Sixers only have Embiid and Reed under contract and they'll surely give Maxey a max contract. So do they throw money at a star or start another rebuild? I think they have to go for a star because this is a bad time to rebuild. They only have their own first round pick in this draft and likely no first round pick in 2025.Hell of an ending to Tobias Harris’s Sixers career.
looks at box score WOOF. Dude got paid $40 mil this year, ZERO pointsHell of an ending to Tobias Harris’s Sixers career.
I'm happy to see it after years of going to Hornets games just to hear those invading losers with their "Trust the Process" chants. The Sixers were unloading lower bowl tickets for some stupid low price like $100 each but you needed a PA, DE, or NJ address to buy them. It's not like 4.5 million people live in the northern most counties of NJ or anything.
Eh, sorry, dawg. I think I'm out since we missed the first round. Feel free to set something up if you want to.@Dali Llama, do you want to set up a 2nd round points contest? The 2nd round starts Saturday. If so, I'm in.
Celtics
Knicks
Pacers
Cavs or Magic
Thunder
Nuggets
T-Wolves
Clips or Mavs
I would never have guessed that this team could miss threes and win games. It’s weird to think their issue in series so far has been offense. When Luka and Kyrie are locked in on D they look really good as a team.Mavs are a good example of a blockbuster trade paying dividends the following year
Problem with the Bucks is they have Doc and problem with the Suns is they have Ishbia to muck it up next year
@DeacdeTejas Do the Mavs have the defense to win it all?
There is a big difference between The Process and Fleecing The Clippers. Also, I don't recall any "Fleece The Clippers" chants in opposing arenas.not sure how people can be shit-talking The Process with OKC totally nailing it
So you knew SGA was gonna be a first team all nba player when that trade happened? There is a big difference between The Process and Fleecing The Clippers. Also, I don't recall any "Fleece The Clippers" chants in opposing arenas.
Dude, I knew SGA was going to be a first team all-NBA player from the minute the Hornets traded him away.So you knew SGA was gonna be a first team all nba player when that trade happened?
I mean I know lots of people didn’t like the trade at the time but it was because of the number of picks not because of SGA
Yeah I agree with your last point. It is a tough ask for Luka/Kyrie to maintain such a high level of play on both ends of the court for the upcoming gauntlet.I would never have guessed that this team could miss threes and win games. It’s weird to think their issue in series so far has been offense. When Luka and Kyrie are locked in on D they look really good as a team.
I think matchups are a big part of what will define their run. I wouldn’t run any sort of iso offense on them. Gives Mavs too many opportunities to hide Luka/Kyrie.
I think the Mavs can beat anyone in West (or playoffs). I just don’t know if they can do it in 3-4 straight series
same idea -- giving up maximizing competitiveness in the short-term (keeping paul george) to maximize assets for the futureThere is a big difference between The Process and Fleecing The Clippers. Also, I don't recall any "Fleece The Clippers" chants in opposing arenas.
OKC made good draft picks. That is the basis of any great team building. The Process was about collecting more draft picks in the hope of sheer lucking out on one of them, and simultaneously purporting to lose on purpose, solely to overcompensate for a complete ineptitude at drafting.
I feel like I can laugh at the Sixers for drafting an injured big and building a tank and rebuild around him and having to suffer through chronic injuries with little to no help because they drafted poorly after him except picking Maxey in the middle of a draft several years later.
That’s completely different than making a bunch of great trades to dismantle a young contender then making great picks afterward.
