WFU Hoops: '24-'25 Roster Construction Thread: +Spillers/Biliew/Cosby/Johnson/Abass

if the best they can do for you is a Zoom meeting... it's not meant to be.
That definitely feels like something leaked by the player’s camp to try to make it look like he’s getting more interest than he actually is

Whatever the case, the interest from Kansas and Auburn indicates he’s highly regarded. But Kansas doesn’t have room for any more guards.

Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports says Duke has contacted Ivy-Curry as well as TCU, UCF, Florida State, Grand Canyon and Texas A&M. He also reportedly has heard from West Virginia and Syracuse.

Yeah, not sure about Ivy-Curry. He is a fine player but not sure he can put up numbers at ACC level. Shooting % is meh as is his ast/to.

We have 4 or 5 scholarships open and it’s about 25 days until the first session of summer school starts. Not everyone we get is going to be a 25 mpg guy. If he can compete at one of the guard spots and give us some high impact mins off the bench then it’s worth a shot. He certainly isn’t bashful.

Yeah, I am sure some of the perceived interest for Ivy-Curry is as a bench piece. Everybody needs to fill their rosters.

But he'd likely get serious minutes at Wake. And he would have at VT, as well.

Allegedly they were one of the lower NIL offers of his finalists, but he wanted to play for Drew and have a solid chance at a championship. Big 12 stacked again with Kansas, ISU, Houston, Baylor all almost shoe-in top 10 teams.

UNC was after both Omier and Omoruyi to replace Bacot and got neither right? Are they going to land someone else or is Reid going to kill them next year?

I like the idea of Ivy-Curry as an insurance option if we end up missing on the European dude. Options are disappearing fast, and we can't afford to wait until the end of the month and risk not having a PG at all. But at the same time, if we take an option much better than Ivy-Curry now, we are almost assuredly not going to land the European guy due to playing time concerns.

he averaged 17 ppg in only 27 mpg and shot 40% from the field

that's a lot of shots per possession
