Remember when we snagged this highly prized recruit right out of your backwoods backyard of Winston-Salem and you all cried like children and then trashed the guy because you actually liked watching Broderick Hicks and Throat-slash Downey and frosh Justin Gray fumble the ball up the court andthrow it into the stands? Kind of like when Bryant Feggins went to State or Rey Terry went to Carolina. Well Mitchell had a great career at Charlotte, now he's making a difference in young people's lives by helping them to became all or more than their best could ever be imagined to be with a wide range of skills drills and other drills that make them into lean mean fightin' machines who are loyal the the cause of the soon to be Conference USA Champions Charlotte 49ers.

He decided to begin training to dominate his defender. He designed a set of basketball drills and workouts to improve his basketball skills, as well as his overall speed and athletic ability. During Mitchell's high school career he ranked as high as 25th in the nation, the top player in North Carolina, was North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year, and was known as one of the fastest and quickest guards in the nation. He earned a scholarship to play with the Charlotte 49er's and helped lead them to three NCAA appearances. Dick Vital said "Mitchell Baldwin is the fastest point guard in the nation with the ball in his hands". Jay Bilas went on to say, "Mitchell Baldwin is as fast end-to-end as any guard in America".

"Mitchell has the combination of knowledge, passion and compassion needed to develop young players. Regardless of their current ability after working with Mitchell they will take their game to another level."

Assistant Coach - NC State

If you were smart, you'd sign up Madison Jones for some training sessions since he's fast like Mitch was and still is but he has no idea WTF he's doing on a basketball court on national TV. Our record is better than yours and our team and coach are better so obviously Mitchell's work with the current team has paid dividends. Although after you pay $55,000 a year for school you probably can't afford the services of a top flite athletic trainer like Mitchell. I guess you have to establish your own priorities for yourself.

I fail to see how this is going to help your "football program"

Goniner's name labels on his tidy whities must be chafing today...

TLDR but good luck against the Falcons on Sunday I guess.

Didn't realize that, like rj, GoNiners is also a revisionist historian in his spare time.

GoNiners is very misinformed as it relates to Mitchell Baldwin's recruitment with Wake Forest.

His career peaked in HS. Those were great years at RJR.

Last part is very true. Absolute stud at RJR along with that whole team. He had a below average career at UNCC considering his prep career and rankings. UNC-C and their coach at the time (luts) did not take his skill set and do what they should have with him. He was and still is a 2 guard at heart and was born to score the basketball and blow by defenders. However, luts took his game, slowed it down, and turned him into a PG which was not his true position. Had he made the right choice and gone to wake, he would have prospered. Prosser was running a face paced offense and would have kept him at the 2 guard position where he woulda been a 12-15 ppg scorer. Baldwin's miss

Below average at UNC-C? He SUCKED THE BIG ONE:

He couldn't sniff Taron's or Justin's jock if he had a vaportini.

It's like when people responded seriously to RoboHeel.

Taron Downey was a throat slasher who averaged 10 pts per game his sophomore thorough senor years. Mitch wasn't far off that and he had better stats than Hicks and you know you would have been better off with Mitch at the point than, no handles shoot first, can't pass Justin Gray in his freshman and senior seasons after Paul left you high and dry for greener pastures. Let me paint you a perfect crystal clear picture, one just for you: If it weren't for Mitch playing at Charlotte and Felton playing at Carolina, Wake Forest never would have gotten in on Chris Paul because he knew how good Mitch and Felton were and didn't want to have to sit, meanwhile in his hometown from which we had already stolen Mitch, Wake Forest was able to get lucky and sign him. It's almost exactly like the Tyler Lewis situation except in a different year.

It's obvious that you have no interest in learning from history and only with to repeat it. Oh wait, your history is a helluva lot better than what you've got going now. LOLLLERCOASTER!

If you don't like my posts, don't read them. Just leave your head stuck in the sand and never ask yourself again about any player who Wake Forest wanted but whiffed on and then turned into a great productive individual who has more talent and more caring and brains in his little finger than you have in your whole body.

Let me get this straight. Chris Paul thought he would ride the bench behind either Baldwin or Felton? Seriously?

Maybe a little bit. It definitely made his decision a little easier. Why else would he have gone to Wake Forest?
