What NIU did was far more "impressive" than what we pulled off, as crappy as our first 10 minutes was.
 
I don't get your argument here. They scored 4 points in the first half. 39-9 is awful without a question. Northern Illinois made one FG in a half against Eastern Michigan. Not to mention they broke their own futility record (5 points in the first half against Dayton this year).

Wake Forest is bad by our standards, Northern Illinois may be one of the worst offensive teams in quite some time.

This is just an idiotic thread. NIU set an NCAA futility record in the modern era. They broke the NCAA record for worst shooting performance in the modern era and at one point was 0-32 from three while only scoring 4 points in a half. Why on earth would anybody expect/want/figure that Wake would have made Yahoo while being down by 23 at the half? There are blowouts every single day in college basketball. People vastly overrate their own teams importance in the grand scheme of things.
 
The real question is, how badly would Norther Illinois beat us?
