Obviously Bzz's ACC road record is horrible, but I was curious about our recent past, say since CP3 left.

2006 0-8 (Skip)
2007 1-7 (Skip)
2008 1-7 (Dino)
2009 4-4 (Dino)
2010 2-6 (Dino)
2011 0-8 (Bzz)
2012 1-7 (Bzz)
2013 0-4 (Bzz)

Essentially in 7 1/2 years we've won, 9 ACC road games.

Pretty sad to say if Bzz could just win 2 road games this year, he'd be tied for 2nd most in the last 8 years.

Very good point. College basketball has changed. If you aren't a big dog then you're going to get trampled on the road. Wake isn't a big dog. Never has been and never will be. We're a great liberal arts school and one of the two best in Winston-Salem and top three in the triad. We've been beating our natural rivals consistently and hopefully that will continue even if UNCG rises up under Wes Miller.

So in other words, Wake basketball has been down in the post-Paul era except for 2009 and 2010.

I don't think that's news to anybody.

Another way of looking at those numbers is [Redacted] would have to win 6 road games this year in order to match the road win total of the guy we fired for not being good enough.

It's no secret that the 2006-2008 teams weren't very good so way to find as low of a bar as you could for [Redacted].

Jeff [Redacted] has a 5.3% winning percentage on the road. 1/19. That's real.

He'd have to win 6 road games this year to match Dino's 7 wins.

Yes, I am not really sure what happened to my math there. I corrected it.

I also don't believe Wake has ever won more than 5 ACC road games (which Skip did twice), sadly it's mathematically impossible for [Redacted] to set the new record.

Number of games that were either wins, lost by fewer than 5, or went to overtime:
2006: 3
2007: 2
2008: 4
2009: 5
2010: 5
2011: 0
2012: 1
2013: 1

Post Duncan

1998 2-6 (Odom)
1999 2-6 (Odom)
2000 3-5 (Odom)
2001 3-5 (Odom)
2002 3-5 (Skip)
2003 5-3 (Skip)
2004 4-4 (Skip)
2005 5-2 (Skip)

And if my math is right for the last 15 years (excluding this year since it's not over):

0 wins 2
1 win 3
2 wins 3
3 wins 3
4 wins 2
5 wins 2

I'd say our bar is pretty low for success on the road. 2 or 3 road wins in the ACC would be normal for us. We've had 5 season below and 4 season above.

People can construe this information which ever way they want, but they are facts, not opinions.

2012: 1
2013: 1

Nice I feel better when we are close. A loss is a loss.

No, there's quite a difference between a 2 point loss against a good FSU team and a 20 point blowout against a bad Georgia Tech team (which we have experienced twice now under [Redacted]'s leadership.

1986: 0
1987: 1
1988: 0

So the good news is that Mr. [Redacted] only has to win one more ACC game to have more conference road wins than Bob Staak. Of course Staak only had 21 opportunities versus 25, not to mention a much tougher ACC. [Redacted]'s record belongs in this company, not with those of Dino and Skip.

Hoy, yo estoy pensando.

"Juan, como estan las viajes?". Es claro que no tenemos muchas ganas en los viajes. Oye Amigo! Yo voy a hablar con mi amiguito de golf, Jeff Beezdelik despues de esta siesta en la tarde.

Adios mis amigos del foro de la verdad, Ogboards!

Well now we lose on the road with style since our socks are in order.

There's also quite a difference between having lost 5 straight playing 3 of 4 on the road vs NCSU, UNC, and Duke and home vs Miami....then being at home hungry for a win....vs a team of complacent freshmen having won the biggest game in three years, on the road in a venue always difficult to win in. It's really a shame everyone is now jumping on Bz for problems all coaches have, even the best ones.

Those historic road numbers are pitiful.

AMEN. [Redacted] would have to improve to be Bob Staak.
