WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The bells of Wait Chapel have chimed over Wake Forest since 1978 and have served as a symbol of strength, diversity and faith for the entire University. Early last decade, the thunderous toll spread all the way to the football and baseball fields when a new bell was used to celebrate when Wake Forest scored.
Now we're giving fans the chance to name the bell that you've heard so many times, so put on your creative Deacon top hats and have some fun coming up with an official name for the bell.
Submit your ideas to wfsports@wfu.edu. After we have collected all of your possible bell names, we will decide the top three and then put them up for a fan vote.
The winning submission will have sideline access at BB&T Field and serve as the honorary "Bell Ringer" for the 2013 season.
