Little late on this: YES announces it will show ACC hoops and fball games and big East basketball as part of deal with Fox Sports.

They started out as the exclusive channel for Yale football. This network keeps the Yankees in the black.

What the fuck is the Yes network? Does Time Warner carry it?

I always wondered what's on that channel when the Yanks aren't playing.

Nets basketball, baseball programing, replay of Yankee games, and now ACC football. Probably a game or two around the Yankee game telecast, and replay of all the others. NYC is a strong alumni base for Syracuse.

As part of the deal, YES will televise up to 10 ACC football games and up to 23 men's ACC basketball games, as well as select women's basketball and Olympic sports. YES will also offer up to 10 Big East basketball games. Telecast schedules will be announced at a later date. All telecasts will be in HD

Not that big of a deal.

Basically it and MSG will combine to serve as the networks for the Fox Sports regional games in the NYC area and the state of New York

Not that big of a deal.

Looks like they'll start televising a game a week after the first few weeks or a game a week and a few double headers after baseball season is over.

Will they have their own Game of the Week or are they just another regional carrier for the Raycom/ACC Network 12:30 games?

They are a regional carrier for the 3:00 FSN games ... which actually look like they'll be at 12:30 this year.

Looks like there are local, over-the-air networks in most Northeast markets (besides Hartford, which would help me) that carry the 12:30 ACC Network games

Maybe the YES network will be the new home of the Deacs. WatchESPN never felt like home.

UL-Monroe will be the first game affected by this. Should be on either YES or MSG.

For better or for worse

One step closer to MSG ACC tourney.

Purely dependent on whether MSG has a long-term contract with the Big East. The "new" Big East (the Catholic 7 plus Butler et. al.) won't give up their rights willingly to the Garden tournament.
