ACC releases 2013-14 league schedule

Damn. Just four games on ESPN- three of them on the U and one on ESPN2.

Initial thought: 16-15 (8-10), 1-1, combined 17-16

Obviously that isn't with any super detailed thought. I would also characterize 8-10 as fairly optimistic, but again this just based on an initial scan.

Not a single televised non-conference home game. Not a shock but hard to acknowledge.

Most won't be able to watch games on AXS.

AXS is that new deodorant, right? The asterisk indicates that some of those home games might be televised as the times aren't finalized.

Why is the Wake website showing any dates past the first round of the ACC tournament? Seems a bit ambitious.

As an FYI, it's possible that some of our OOC games will be picked up by the ACC TV partners other than ESPN (that's why there is an asterisk by every OOC home game saying the game time has yet to be finalized). ESPN sets its schedule first and then when other networks find holes in their programming they will pick up available games and televise them. While I would not be shocked if WF hoop has fallen so far that there is no interest in any of our OOC games, also would not be surprised if a couple get picked up.

Our only ESPN televised ACC games are Duke(x2),NCSU and UNC. It appears that our value to ESPN is only in NC. No regional or national opponents.

I don't want to watch WFU games and I went there and remember when we were good. I can't imagine there's one non-alum in the world bored and channel-deprived enough to seek out a WFU basketball game. We get to be on TV only because Duke, State and UNC need to play someone.
