This puts a safe seat into play in 2012. I wonder if Feingold will run again.

it was only safe when Kohl was running for re-election.

will be a heavily targeted state now, with significant investments from both parties.

That's what I said.......

The Republican who runs can't have any strong ties to Waler.

A Ryan/Feingold campaign would be monutmental.

That being said, I don't think Ryan will run for the Senate.

Wisconsin needs to get Feingold back in there -- never should have ousted him. Agree or disagree with his politics, he was a respected senator who gave Wisconsin a legitimate, powerful voice.

Ryan has too powerful a position in the house.

Also, his ridiculous haircut should not be allowed in the senate.

Thompson would normally win, but he'd better distance himself from Walker or he could easily lose.

Thompson is about as well-known a commodity as there is.

I understand. BUT he has to say early and often that he disagrees with Walker's anti-union acts and his obvious kowtowing ot special interests (like the Koch brothers).

If Feingold can lose in WI, so can Thompson.
