Duke football suspensions

"Cutcliffe also says he resigned his spot on the NCAA's football rules committee."

Found the above a little interesting as well.

Prediction - we will win our last game of this season

dook finishes its season losing to UVA, WF, and in Shreveport to finish 6-7. Wake goes to a bowl in 2016, dook does not. #hottakes

Duke will be going to a bowl and right now VTech at 5-5 is the only FBS team they will have a chance to have beaten with a winning record if VTech can get a few wins. They have wins over 2-8 Army, 3-7 Tulane, Georgia Tech and BC, 5-5 VTech and 7-3 NC Central with UVA and Wake yet to play. UNC, State and Duke's schedules are all a joke. Our non-conference is about the same but having to play Clemson and FSU is a difference maker.

Great point, but would disagree that the WF and Duke OOC schedules are about the same:

WF's toughest OOC game was at ND #4 in the nation right now; Duke's was Northwestern at home.
WF 2nd toughest OOC game was Indiana, who just lost to Michigan in OT, Ohio State in the final seconds and to Iowa by 8; Duke's 2nd toughest road game was American Conference bottom feeder Tulane.
Both WF and Duke won at Army; and both played essentially an exhibition game against a FCS school.

As noted above, WF plays or has played Clemson and FSU (Duke has not); also, Duke's other ACC non-division conference game was woeful BC; WFplayed division leader NC. WF's schedule this year was much tougher than Duke's.

BTW, WF schedule next year is much softer:

- OOC games against Tulane, Delaware, Army and Indiana; out of division games against UVA and Duke. IN year 3, no excuses for WF next year.

Next year is soft as it has been in a long long time. 7 home games and BC and Syracuse at home.

The improvement next year has to start showing up in the win column, 1) because it will be year 3 of the Clawson era and we will field a more mature team, and 2) it's a favorable schedule. Anything less than a bowl next year should be a disappointment.

Between now and next season Clawson must do two things - 1) Go fishing with 2-3 buddies for a few days and 2) Take the family to a beach somewhere far away and veg-out for 10 days. He looks awful.

+1!!!!

This was the press conference picture.

I'm probably way off but anyone else suspect something is or has happened within Duke ?

Probably just K worried football was getting too much attention and told them to put the brakes on.

My unfounded guess is the NCAA called or maybe Duke self-reported something on football. Cutcliffe's timing resigning that committee is odd.
