Due to an increase in the amount of users who are able to give out 15+ reputation points. We have decided to place a cap on the amount of positive reputation given at 10 points.

There was some serious reputation inflation going around and for the system to work as intended, we need to control it.

We have also added a negative reputation factor of 50% to your reputation factor. If you are rep-capped, your reputation power will look like this:

Positive rep: 10 x 1 = 10
Negative rep: 10 x .5 = 5

Reputation clicks per day has been increased to 24 from 20.

This is going to make it harder for me to keep a parody afloat.

That is, if I decided to start a parody.

Haha, well it's effectively capped the neg rep at a smaller number too. So that should help.

Can you explain this a bit more:

We have also added a negative reputation factor of 50% to your reputation factor. If you are rep-capped, your reputation power will look like this:

Positive rep: 10 x 1 = 10
Negative rep: 10 x .5 = 5

Not sure I understand. Does this just mean there is a negrep cap of 5 and posrep of 10?

Everyone has rep capabilities. Let's call this your rep power. This is comprised of all those factors previously discussed such as rep points, # of posts, time posting, etc.

Your pos rep ability is equal to your rep power, capped at 10.
Your neg rep ability is .5 * rep power, capped at 5.
