Fischer averaged 11.5 points, 4.0 assists and 2.5 steals while shooting 57 percent from the field in Wake Forest's two games last week. In the Demon Deacons' 81-72 win over Georgia Southern on Wednesday, the Ripley, W. Va., native scored 13 points and added three assists, three steals and a block in 32 minutes off the bench. In Sunday's 93-79 defeat of N.C. Central, Fischer had 10 points, five assists with two steals.

Congratulations to @chase_fischer10 on being named the ACC ROW. Not only is he a very good player, but a great student & young man as well!

Great news.
 
I like this kid a lot. He seems to play very heady for a freshman- a welcomed change from a lot of the guys that we've brought in over the past few years.

Hopefully next year's guys will learn from him, McKie, and CJ on how to make an immediate impact by playing smart basketball.
 
I haven't looked, but to win that award Chase must have pulled his socks up to his waist. The Highest Socks Award!
