Here are contenders from this vantage point:

David Wilson VT, 1442 yards rushing, 7 TD's, 131 yds/game, 6 yards/carry - team likely headed for ACC Champ Game

Tajh Boyd CU, 3200 passing yards, 27 TD's, 300 yds/game, team headed for ACC Champ Game

Sammy Watkins CU, 68 catches, 1034 rec yards, 10 Rec TD's, team headed for ACC Champ Game

Chris Givens WF, 70 catches, 1207 rec yards, 9 TD's,

Dave Ammerson NCSU, 11 INT's, 5 BU's,

I say in this order: Boyd/Givens/Wilson/Watkins/Ammerson

What say you?

Respectfully, it'll be Wilson in a landslide.

The kid is the Heisman top 5 to boot !

If Clemson wins, Boyd or Watkins will get it without question. Givens has done far more than Watkins has in the receiving game but why would the ACC care about that?

I wouldnt be shocked if Dwight Jones makes 1st Team All ACC over Givens

I vote Wilson, but Russell Wilson. He's done great things for NC State's psyche.

I think it will probably be David Wilson for reasons mentioned above.
However, the season isn't quite over yet.
If Givens has another huge game against VAndy and the other struggle, you never know.

Boyd has had some terrible games, we in particular let him off the hook. Still Clemson as a division winner and ranked team gives him pull he should not have.

I'd agree Wilson is the current favorite but to say he's top 5 Heisman is a major stretch - clearly behind Griffin/Richardson/Luck/Moore/Barkley/James probably not even top 10

David Wilson by a wide margin.

IIRC, they announce the all-ACC team, COY and POY next week before the ACCCG. So, how Clemson or VT (or UVA) players fare in the ACCCG is not factored into any of these awards.

What are their conference stats?

Objectively, if someone looked at those stats they'd pick Wilson in a landslide. Given that he's also playing on the best ACC team, he has this one locked up.

Eh, Givens will get it next year when we win the ACC.

I think it'll be closer than people think between Boyd and Wilson but Wilson will win it

Really?

Boyd isn't all that great when Watkins isn't on the field (versus Clemson) or is largely marginalized (versus Wake).
