TRAVIS - is a star and will be one for two more years. He will be even better with better players around him.

CJ- I love CJ, but he's basically a sixth man who can score. He'll get a few points less per game next year but will be a really good guy to have on our team.

CARSON - He's picking it up a lot more this year. He wil lbe much better playing along side another big guy. If Devin or another player cna take some real post time, Carson will be more dangerous on the offensive end. He's a very good passerr and can shoot form up to about 18-20'.

TONY - He's a decent back-up PG. That's what he'll be next year and the year after. Look for him to play 10-14 mpg behind Codi and Tree playing wong/point.

CHASE- Is a one dimensional player, but is excellent at that dimension. He's one of the best pure shooters we've had in along time. Having better players around him will give him more freedom. Having Moto, Tree and Devin behind him will help his D.

ANTHONY - will have to be happy playing behind Codi, Tree and Tony for the next two years. He's not ready to jump ahead of any of them.

DANIEL- love his heart and his motor. Maybe he'll learn the game a little more. Maybe he'll figure it out. If he doesn't he's likely to be the odd man out in PT over the next two to three years. Can't see him getting minutes over Carson, Devin, Tyler or Andre with us playing two of Travis, Moto and Tree at other times.

Fields will be a substitution sparkplug when we need a boost and when we need some solid pure point play. He will surpass TC shortly.

Disagree completely about Fields. I think he'll overtake the starting spot from Tony here within a couple of weeks. His defense, decision making, and court vision are all superior to Tony's

I don't see why Fields shouldn't at least get some more of Tony's minutes. I don't think he's better, but TC isn't 32 minutes to 11 minutes better than Fields.

NUMBER READ the title of the thread!!!!

It's about NEXT YEAR...not this year....

I think both you and RJ are correct. Fields deserves more minutes on this year's team, but long term, hes' likely to get phased out if our incoming players are as good as advertised.

Yeah I agree with both of these points. I was responding to the two posts above mine, not to your post RJ.

I disagree with pretty much everything.

I love McKie, and he's going a great four year player, but he's not a "star" because he can't create his own shot and is still a tweener.

CJ is our best player, and still incredibly underrated by our fans. He'd start for almost any team in the nation. He can play the point and is a good defender.

Carson can't play the four -- people keep saying it, but I don't see any way. He's not going to be able to guard opposing power forwards, and doesn't really have the offensive skillset. Having Carson and a true center on the floor at the same time would really limit our offense.

Tony is just terrible. No point guard skills, probably the worst shooting guard in recent Wake history.

Chase is anything but one dimensional. His passing is outstanding and he's made a few solid defensive plays, as well. He's always in the right place. Even when he's not shooting threes, he makes the team better.

Fields seems like a solid four year backup PG. At least he should be -- CJ's the best PG on the team, but he's also the best 2. I'd personally start CJ and Fischer, but otherwise I'd get Fields in the lineup. I like his aggressiveness on defense and with his passing.

I do agree with you about Green.

Chase's lack of D was why were behind at the half. He let his man/space open for at least ten points in the first half.

I didn't say Devin was a true center. I also mentioned Carson playing away from the hoop on OFFENSE not defense like you are saying.

Saying Travis isn't a star is mindboggling. His improvement from last year is clear.

I love CJ but he's the tweener.

Fields has yet to show he can lead a team.

If you notice most of tony's shotr come at the end of the clock with no one demanding the ball. He looks for Tavis, CJ or Chase to b e calling for the ball.

Yeah, all this. Please play TC less. He makes me throw things.

Lol, I stopped reading here. I'm the biggest CJ fanboy in the world, but this is just wrong.

Yeah, I think that RJ couldn't be more wrong about CJ and Chase. He's like DV7 wrong...

CJ has improved so much on offense that he's turned from a lousy spot-up shooter into the most complete scoring guard we've had since Teague. His combination of spot-up ability, mid-range game, and the ability to get the basket is a true asset. Add to this his solid awareness on offense and his willingness to pass, and he's so underrated it hurts.

Oh, and he's our best defender, too? C'mon, RJ. Are you serious? His development has been absurd and we're really blessed to have a player like this as the veteran core of our team.

I think you're completely wrong about Chase, too. Echoing IAI, he knows how to move the ball on offense, both in terms of passing and communication, and he's always moving, trying to find open space. If we had a solid PG, then he'd be averaging 3/4 threes a game and probably 12-13 ppg, but alas. You just don't find many high IQ, shooting specialists like Chase these days. He's just a very well-rounded basketball player.

Lol, I stopped reading here. I'm the biggest CJ fanboy in the world, but this is just wrong.

CJ is the only player on our team who can create a shot outside of the lane. He is our best player by a decent amount until Travis shakes the rust off of his jump shot.

I'm a bit surprised at Chase's inability to create his own shot. For such a high level scorer in high school, I'd thought he might have some moves in his arsenal that had him taking the ball to the basket or even a pull up jumper, but today he was unable to even get a look at the basket.

CJ is probably slightly better at more things but Travis is so good at rebounding and getting to the glass that it puts him ahead for me.
