looked pretty good for the Texans against Tenn in a game without most of Houston's best offensive weapons playing.

They are crazy not to start him in the playoffs over TJ Yates.

Still in the playoffs. McNabb out of the league. Guess Panthers fans were right!

Personally, I'd like to see him instead of Yates. But it's not an easy call - Yates has actually been around the team for a year and, presumably, knows the offense better than Delhomme who has only been there 3 weeks.

watched that last drive he had. it was classic good jake. Spazzing out rallying the team down the field, throwing the ball behind his receivers a bit, but at the end getting the job done. Then two lol bad plays that weren't his fault for the 2 point conversion in his tight end false starting and center snapping it ridiculously high over his head

Also, just saw on Twitter Yates is expected to start. Somehow, Jake will still manage at least one interception from the bench.

What's that sound? It's the sound of gambling death! It's the sound of lost money. It's... It's... Good God that's Jake Delhomme's music!!!!

McNabb sucked back then, too.

Jake was never the same after he blew out his elbow. He never really got back his accuracy (and he was a little scattershot to begin with).

yeah never the same after tommy john. Still has a 5-3 playoff record despite that horrible, horrible cardinals game

Not to mention that Jake and the Panthers went 12-4 leading up to that playoff game.

The guy has been to a SB and two conference championship games. He should start over TJ Yates, who is an emergency starter that they have had to dumb down the offense for.

Neither is an appealing option, but Delhomme gives them the best chance to make a run this year.

tebow vs delhomme would truly be a game for the ages.

I'm with you here ChrisL, but the fact that Delhomme has only had 3 quarters of work going into the playoffs terrifies me.

Start Yates and give him a short leash. The offense was dumbed down for Yates more because Andre Johnson was injured than it was anything else. The offense didn't look that dumbed down against the Falcons, for instance.
