If what happened today happened at Duke, UNC or any other basketball school.
Heads would roll for sure!
 
It happened at unc in 2001-02, and doh's head didn't roll until after the next season.
 
#3 UNC is getting their ass handed to them right now at FSU.
UNC looks like shit, can't buy a basket.

HUGE difference between a solid program having a bad game and a shitty program having a shitty game.
 
Roy has two rings but I don't think he got them because of his coaching abilities.

He just has an absurd amount of talent every year. Kids just want to go to UNC because they're UNC, not because of Roy.
 
There would be a lot of pissed off Notre Dame football fans!

I would bet if it happened to UNC, that Roy would take all of his starters and leave, you know, for their safety. His walk-ons would then be alone to finish the game. It may sound strange and unbelievable, but I bet that's what would happen.

Oh and he would try to deflect any criticism by saying it was someone else's idea.

We could have been a Duke. They were nothing for a long time and brought in a coach with a strange name who they wanted to fire in his first three or four years. What if Duke had not had the patience to keep K back then or Dean at North Carolina back when they wanted to hang him in effigy?

We had a good run with Bones McKinney and should have built something off of that. We had Atlantic Coast Conference titles and a Final Four. Why did we not keep up that momentum?

Duke is just like us and they can not get it done in football but do in basketball.

While I agree that coaches need time to build a program, Duke was only 2 years removed from a Final Four and won the ACC Tourney the season before they hired the coach with the strange name. They were far from nothing.
