GT's O-line coach just resigned because he broke the NCAA's texting rules. It will be interesting to see how big this thing gets.

Better ask every coach in America this question. Most of the SEC schools all carry 2 or 3 phones with them. Only 1 is the official phone for NCAA monitoring

Lest you forget, TheReff has close personal ties to most SEC coaches.

The text messaging thing is a smokescreen (and in fact it occured after the decision to force him to resign after NSD had already been made) He badly screwed up the Junior Gnonkonde recruitment and some other items, and PJ told him he had to go.

He was the lead recruiter for Will Adams as well (OL who decommitted at the last minute to go to Auburn) and that's where the text message violations came from. The GT Rivals site and others had already reported that Spencer was forced out by that point.

The bigger problem is that Spencer had already been suspended before for this same damn thing, and the school has monitoring software on every computer and cell phone to prevent this. Given GT's already adversarial relationship with the NCAA, this could be uglier than it should be.
