1) We didn't lose by 20+

2) We actually had it somewhat close in the 2nd half

3) We covered the spread (although, I don't know what Kenpom said)

4) This proves Bzz is on the right track...lose by 39, then lose by 11....that is improvement!

5) Next year, maybe we can keep it in single digits. (but we will have youth as an excuse!)

Let's be honest....NCST beats anyone in the conference today.Thought our guys played great.
 
John Wooden, Coach K and Bobby Knight wouldn't have won this game against NCSU.
 
Most everyone played well on O, D still needs some work. Carson is an enigma. Ty playing extremely well. LAck of depth hurt, but good to see McKie hitting some shots.

They wouldn't have been nearly as effective offensively against a better defensive team.

Tough game to lose today. Winning would have been nice for the guys' confidence. Worried about our mental state after two putrid years.
 
Didn't watch the game but it's fairly depressing that we played very well by most accounts and still lost to a middle tier ACC team by 11.
 
Down nine at the half, 17-8 run ties it at 50, State stretches it out to 11, we cut it to 5. Say what you will, every guy in a Deacon uniform laid it all on the line today. CJ is a stone-cold warrior.
 
We are a soccer school. Get used to it. We make most A-10 teams look like legit tourney contenders.
 
The team played pretty good............and we bascially played with only 6 guys.

Yes, I don't drink the kool-aid that non-top 100 post players are going to immediately transform our post game from horrendously bad to ACC level.
