Crazy Duke vs. UNC stat

They just said on the radio that over the last 75 games between the 2 teams, the cumulative point differential is one point!!!!! I forgot the exact numbers but the total points for each team in the last 75 games is in the 5000's and the difference in the total is just one point. I hate them both, but that is an amazing stat.
 
If true, that's pretty wild.
 
In the past 75 meetings between Duke and UNC,
- UNC 38 wins, Duke 37 wins
- combined final score: Duke 5858, UNC 5857

This is Coach K's 32nd year at Duke. Over the past 31 seasons,
- Duke 831 wins, UNC 830 wins
- Duke 11 final four appearances, UNC 11 final four appearances
- Duke 4 national championships, UNC 4 national championships
 
I hate that I am so impressed by those statistics. Fuck them both so, so much.

I pretty much just want to echo everyone on this thread. hate them both but jeez what a stat.
 
I know right. I hated to even waste space on our board with a post about a stat from their rivalry, but when I heard it I was amazed.
 
Like the rest I hate them both (unc-ch slightly more) but it is crazy to think about how great those two programs are and how close they are statistically and geographically.
