Coach Russ to AFA

No, no, no, this thread was supposed to say Coach Bzzzz to AFA!!!!!!
 
Shouldn't be a tremendous loss. At least there will be some opportunity for new blood.
 
I'm happy for him. Going back to his Alma Mater, as a Co-DC. Its a natural progression for him.
 
Congratulations, Coach Russ. It will be interesting to see how the new blood works out in the Spring and going forward.
 
He undoubtably will be missed on some level. Class Act!! He is one of the primary reasons (Billings and Grobe being the others) why we committed to WF. He's a straight shooter, and a stand up guy with an infectious positive energy. Good luck to you and your family coach. Because of you AF now has another fan.
 
Steve Russ moving on

Looks like the football team has another opening for an assistant coach. Steve Russ is going back to his Alma Mater - Air Force Academy - as Assistant Head Coach and Co-Defensive Coordinator for Troy Calhoun.

He was DB coach at Wake in 2011 (Bud Noel's position coach).

How many coaches have left or been let go so far? Does this make four or five?
